Workshop: Interactive and Interoperable –The Promise of Digital Humanities Today

When: Tue., Oct. 16, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2018

Under the guidance of Dr. Michaels, the National Institute for Newman Studies (NINS) joined a growing community of the world’s leading research libraries and image repositories to embark on an effort to collaboratively share their resources and technology with the world.  NINS is developing an ecosystem of cloud-based servers and applications that leverage the new International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) in order to give scholars an unprecedented level of uniform and rich access to their high-resolution image-based archives, metadata, and transcriptions.  Join us at the workshop as we explore the framework and the implications of this technology.
