Chris is no longer the chef at this restaurant. Where will I be able to enjoy his food now?

I'm sure they would much more benefit from sitting at home on a couch watching tv. I'm sure there is absolutely no benefit to any Yoga but that which is practiced in the traditional societies of India. I mean even traditional Yoga has what benefits? Saunas have what benefits?

Seriously though, I'm sure there are no scientific experiments proving hot yoga is as good as regular yoga (maybe there are, do you know?), but if this motivates people to do something beyond the norms of life and get some exercise and enjoy themselves isn't that worth something? Do you only perform activities scientifically proven through years of research to enhance your life? And if it is a successful operation that a lot of people go to obviously the price is acceptable to someone, maybe just not you. The author did state he was recommended to this hot yoga by 2 friends. Maybe these non traditional Yoga methods will prompt people to look more into all of Yoga and other cultures foreign to them. Broadening horizons is good isn't it? There are many paths to enlightenment.

Personally I enjoy a sauna. I enjoy death metal. Make fun of me if you want. Call me a liar or that I'm delusional if you want. Both are relaxing for me. Relaxation is good for the mind and body. Who are you to say I have to perform activities only as they are sanctioned by a traditional society that I have no part of? It's a free country isn't it? I would be attracted to classes that have music I like. What's wrong with that? Enya and nature sounds playing in the background are what turned me off from the Yoga class I took.

When it comes to price why don't you start a group that is free or just accepts donations? That would be a much more interesting blog to see how that works out. I did attend a free Yoga class in Crafton years ago. Why didn't you look into something like that rather than go to a Hot Yoga class if traditional methods are what you are looking for? I mean you knew exactly what Hot Yoga was but went anyway and then proceeded to complain about how it was Hot Yoga... Or was this all just to bash another culture which likes to experiment and is based on multiculturalism? Sometimes these experiments work out. Do you believe that Yoga can have no benefits to a non-Indian or in any other way other than yours? I'm pretty certain that's not very scientific.

So I googled Yoga classes offered in India and all of the ones I found charge money. I'm sure there are plenty of people in India practicing Yoga at home and in groups without any money involved. Surprise! They do here as well. The one time I have done any Yoga was a free community group in Pittsburgh held once a week. There was nothing commercial at all about this group and they can be commonly found. Why did I quit? It wasn't for me I have other things in my life that help me relieve stress and achieve peace.

Do you speak for all of India? How do you know that if someone opened up a Hot Yoga workshop somewhere in a country of a billion people that someone might like it? Are you saying that India has no commercial part to its society? Your generalizations are mind boggling.

Tradition is a tricky thing. If we all only followed traditional practices in any area of life whether its music, food, clothing, religion, etc we would all be still living in trees.

Your holier than thou attitude and blatant misinformation and generalizations are sad. Again this in America, a melting pot, we find things that work for us by using everything we can, and how we want. We have been very successful. Again why did you come to this country? To write terrible blogs?

America is a land of multiculturalism. A melting pot. It's what made us great and why millions of people still want to come here. It also means we take everything we love about every culture and mash it up and make it into what works for us. Get over it. Please don't add more judgemental narrow minded views to this country. We have enough already.
You should consider discontinuing this blog series. It's very amateurish and insulting to the idea of America. Even the cliche about food in the US. Yes there's a lot of fatty sugary food. There's also plenty of healthy food. It's called freedom of choice and we love freedom. You can be as healthy as you want or as unhealthy as you want. Free your mind up. Your needs and wants are not everyones needs and wants. By the way, I'm not involved in any yoga. I'm just tired of these cliche stories about coming to America and needing to bash it after experiencing about 0.1% of what this country has to offer. Why are you here?
