Come defy gravity as a touring Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning hit Wicked opens tonight at the Benedum Center. The musical follows Elphaba, later known as the Wicked Witch of the West, and her journey to becoming “wicked.” The show is a revisionist take on The Wizard of Oz, told from the perspective of Elphaba and Galinda, i.e., “Glinda the Good.” The musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman visits for an extended run here courtesy of PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh.
