Born in Santa Monica, California, Nicholas Sardo attempts to make singularities. He works large, painting huge murals with spray paint, and making mixed media sculptures and installations. He lives for the moment when a piece moves beyond its physical form into something intangible, an inviting experience instead of an object. His work is an attempt to come to terms with his peculiar, confused observations about humanity. As a result, his oddly figurative beings are never totally comfortable in their forced environments.
