Just in time to think about warm-weather plants, Phipps Conservatory has opened the 12,000-square-foot, 60-foot-high Tropical Forest Cuba, which promises to be an immersive journey through the island’s rich biodiversity. Expect lush vegetation and colorful flowers, but there are also waterfalls and streams, a fish aquarium and a scenic overlook. Educational stations provide information about birds, traditional natural-medicine farmacias and the Phipps Botany in Action research in Cuba. It’s not native to Cuba, but a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline, kin to so many vintage cars on the island, is also available for posing in. -Al Hoff
