What a colossal waste of time. Have you seen the drag queens in SW PA? Jesus God! Have you read the Gay Life Newsletter? Have you seen the Public Access show? It must be a slow news week if you have the time to report on this nonsense.
The newsletter is a cluster fuck. Anyone with a pulse is allowed to have a rant published, causing its leadership to look both idiotic and drama-seeking. The TV show is comical and painful all at the same time. I can't believe ANYONE is so desperate for attention that they would lend themselves to that nightmare. And it's supposed to be about elevating themselves? And the actual drag queens? Holy shit! They look like rejects of the Animal Planet Network! Don't they have any true friends that would be honest enough to tell them how hideous they look? I would NEVER let a friend of mine go out in public like that, much less perform in front of an audience. Are the standards still that low in SW PA?
The gay community would be better served in the following ways:
1. Stop associating yourselves with drag queens, especially ugly ones with no talent.
2. If you're going to publish a newsletter or produce a television show, for the love of God, use your position of leadership to bring the community together. Don't use these public forums to disrespect each other.
3. If you are a Bar owner, TV Producer, DeeJay, Bartender, Advocate or even an ugly drag queen, you, my friend are a community leader and should conduct yourself in a manner that would make us all proud. There is nothing worse that a bartender that can't keep a secret, or a DeeJay with a bad attitude, or a mouthy drag queen that should spend more time on her make-up and less time dissing their brethren.
