The People Are the Light

Join us for the premiere of Alisha Wormsley’s newest film and photographic series, The People Are The Light, inspired by a month-long series of events that Wormsley curated in Homewood as part of the Hillman Photography Initiative. Wormsley partnered with twelve artists and collaborators to launch two site-specific installations and ten workshops in the community on subjects such as restorative writing, yoga and meditation, hair art, and the Black Maker Movement. Following the screening, join us for a lively discussion with Wormsley and four of her collaborators: Nisha Blackwell, Bekezela Mguni, Ricardo Robinson, and Anqwenique Wingfield as they share their experiences with and within the Homewood community.
