When: Sat., Nov. 3, 7:30-10 p.m.
“Tangled country” is how The Honey Dewdrops define their music. With tight harmonies and a musical ensemble that includes clawhammer banjo, mandolin and guitars, the effect leaves listeners with only what matters: the heart of the song and clarity over ornamentation. Bandmates Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish are celebrating their 9th year of touring. Influenced by traditional Appalachian music as well as contemporary singer-songwriters, they blend old styles with new, creating music that is powerful and heartfelt. Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Joe Bray’s music covers a broad range of folk, country, pop and rock genres.
