Participants in this workshop tour Dominican-born artist Firelei Báez’s intricate paintings and large-scale drawings on paper exploring black culture, Afro-Caribbean folklore, and the complexities of diasporic experiences in Bloodlines. Learn various printmaking methods that can be used in the classroom to create portraits in Báez’s style, using patterning, texture, and symbolism to tell a story.
