Sustainability Weekend is a student-led, 3-day conference at Carnegie Mellon University that was started to create collaborative conversations around merging the triple bottom line of sustainability (people, planet, and profit). The aim is to show the larger context of sustainability, beyond just the environment. This year's theme is "my individual impact," to teach university affiliates, professionals, and community members what they can personally do to be informed and live a more sustainable lifestyle. We will be covering a diverse range of topics including social injustice, recycling, getting involved with the local community, entrepreneurship, and food waste.
