While they shared the same audience, Sen. Arlen Specter and U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak didn't share the same stage at Friday's Pennsylvania Leadership Forum held at the annual Netroots Nation convention at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The two men, who will face off next spring for Specter's U.S. Senate seat, spoke to a hall full of progressive bloggers and activists about why each is the ideal choice to take on Republican challenger Pat Toomey in November 2010.
Sestak seemed to be the favorite of those in attendance, although new-Democrat Specter -- a long-time party ally -- seemed to have a smattering of support. While they generally answered the same questions, the two men appeared on stage separately.
