Sembène Film Festival: Wendell Grimke Freeland

Join documentarian Billy Jackson for a discussion and screening of his film Wendell Grimke Freeland: A Quiet Soldier in the Fight for Civil Rights at Alphabet City. The film examines the life of Freeland, who was a leader in the Civil Rights movement in Pittsburgh, as well as an attorney, activist, and one of the Tuskegee Airmen.
