In all of this upheaval, once again, the Pittsburgh Public School Board of Education has treated the staffing of this institution (whether new or not) as a secondary -- or tertiary? -- priority. The reality is that many high school teachers are only now finding out if they even have a job in their current building, conveniently after the postings for open positions are closed. And if the district waits until late summer to figure out staffing then many teachers may find themselves without a position in September. Nice. If you want teachers to act professional then it would be nice to be treated like one in kind.
