The problem with "The Farnsworth Invention" is that it is a lie. It tells the story of the boy who invented television as a story of a scientist robbed of his invention--the trial (in the play) does not go Farnsworth's way--but the reality was that the small inventor beat the big corporation and made them lease HIS technology.
Farnsworth WON his case against RCA. And the world forgot. That's a tragedy that is only being further perpetuated by Mr. Sorkin and his play.
