Pittsburgh New Works Festival Auditions

When: July 13-16 2017

Audition for 18 Pittsburgh region theatre companies and be part of bringing a new one act play to life for the very first time! There are over 60 (non-Equity) roles available. Actors of all types and experience levels are needed. Our plays range from over-the-top farce to incredibly dark drama. There’s something for everyone! Actors of all ages, sizes, races, ethnicities, genders, abilities, and sexual orientations are actively encouraged to audition. Actors should prepare a 2 minute monologue. Sides and cold-readings will not be available. Rehearsals will be held in various locations around the area. Rehearsal places and times will be determined by the producing companies. Tech rehearsals will take place at Carnegie Stage (formerly known as Off the Wall Theater). Actors selected to participate in the mainstage festival will be given an honorarium of $25, a Festival Pass that will allow them to see all shows in the Festival for free, and 5 half-price tickets for family and friends. Actors selected for the staged readings will receive a Festival Pass that will allow them to see all shows in the Festival for free and 5 half-price tickets for family and friends.
