Pittsburgh Festival Opera seeking paid supernumeraries

Pittsburgh Festival Opera seeks 10 supernumeraries for its July production of Wagner’s Rhinegold—the first opera of the famed Ring Cycle. Supers are non-singing, non-speaking actors in an opera and often function the same way “extras” do in film. Supers should move well and have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Performers will receive a $200 stipend and two complimentary tickets to the production. For more information please email Associate Artistic Director Joel Goodloe with a resume and full body photo.
