As part of Pittsburgh Lectures’ Ten Evenings series, Pakistani-British novelist Mohsin Hamid is headed for the Carnegie Music Hall tonight to discuss Exit West, a story about a couple embarking on a quest for love in a country on the brink of civil war. Hamid has had other best-selling books, with both Moth Smoke and The Reluctant Fundamentalist earning spots in The New York Times’ Notable Books of the Year. His essays have appeared in a variety of papers and magazines, including The Washington Post and The New Yorker. -LO
