So exhilarating to see one an old friend's intriguing "wordsmithing" of growing up in southwestern PA in the newly released book, The Girl Factory: A Memoir. A little girl and young woman always process these memories and recall them with symbolic imagery, and she has done it effortlessly. It is so invigorating to read her work yet still recall the immature hilarity of our memories of our close circle of friends from high school and marching band. I would enjoy sharing my poems with Karen and would love to reminisce. So inspiring!
