None of this would be an issue if the local government hadn't approved so many liquor licenses. The South Side has way too many bars. This is now one of several side-effects. It is now becoming so difficult to drive along East Carson, that I have had to restrict my going out only during daylight hours. I can't go out with my husband to a dinner and a movie even in the middle of the week without having to deal with the noise, traffic, drunkeness, and stupidity of so-called responsible adults. As an adult, I too would like to enjoy the liberties I have worked for, but the nearest place to do that, no longer appeals to me. I also am tired of standing at bus stops on the southside, and no matter what time of the year it is, there is a strong smell of urine. Tell me, how is , hurting the resteraunt owners going to benefit south side residents having to live with this? The problem isn't what they are trying to do, the problem is the barscene.
