Maureen Renihan is a vocalist with an old soul and a distinctive voice and style often compared to that of Billie Holiday. Her performing experience began in musical theatre where she absorbed a vast catalogue of standards. In 2012, while living in Boone, NC, she connected with jazz musicians and shifted her focus toward music. There, she recorded her debut album, “Softly,” and performed at Symphony by the Lake and the Johnson City Jazz Festival. She returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh last year where she continues to grow, performing on occasion at jam sessions and local establishments.
