This is ridiculous. Everyone is always talking about making Pittsburgh appealing to young people, but then people want to turn around and sabotage one of the neighborhoods in the city most appealing to young people -- you can't have your street chicken-on-a-stick and eat it too. Either you want Pittsburgh to be a fun, vaguely modern city, or you want it to be the same old place for grandma and grandpa to quietly catch the early bird special before turning in at 9:00 on the weekends. And McSwiggen is right -- you have a problem with drunks, bother the drunks; you have a problem with litter, send in city employees to keep the streets clean. Don't harass honest businessmen and businesswomen who are responsible for the resurgency of the South Side.
