Lecture: The Art of Sight with Dr. José-Alain Sahel

Ophthalmology and art intersect in surprising and compelling ways at Dr. José-Alain Sahel's lecture, "The Art of Sight," at Carnegie Museum of Art. As the director of the UPMC Eye Center, Dr. Sahel is intimately familiar in the way anatomical strengths and struggles in eyesight affect the way we interact with art. At this lecture, he'll discuss how famous artists' work changed as their eyesight got worse, and the methods used by Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre to increase accessibility for guests who are blind or low-sighted.
