The Pitsburgh Hug-A-Thon was a great event! I was very excited by the number of people who looked downtrodden got a hug and then smiled and seemed to have a pep in their step.

The Gala at the Double Tree was a spectacular event, with celebrity guests Pittsburgh Steeler Quarterback Charlie Batch and Hall of Famer JT Thomas. Four charities of the Hug-A-Thon which included Operation Troop Appreciation, Sickle Cell, Inc., Safe Child, and Cancar Caring Center!

The Pittsburgh Passion was there as well as Pittsburgh Jazz Musician Kevin Howard. Martin the Troubador also played and sang "In The Burgh" and was a hit with the crowd.

Councilman Bill Perduto was there and was asked to make an annual proclamation for the Pittsburgh Hug-A-Thon.

The event placed a great number of Pittsburgh Small Business owners together and show that not only is Pittsburgh some place special, a city of Champions, it is the most huggable city!

    See yinz guys next year!
