My great pleasure at this meeting was the chance to speak to Mr. McGough afterward. I told him that the group I belong to, SOCH (Save Our Community Hospitals), will NEVER forget UPMC's tearing down of Braddock Hospital.
SOCH welcomes the 20 Muslim physicians who have stepped up to provide a weekend free clinic inside the Braddock Borough Building for uninsured Mon Valley residents.
Since the hospital was destroyed, there is no way for the many in the Braddock area who don't have automobiles to get to any emergency care. SOCH continues to work toward getting at least an ambulance service for them.
