Identity Cubed: Percussion Concert

When: Sun., June 11, 4-6 p.m. 2017

Tapestry Chamber Music presents Identity Cubed, a dynamic percussion group whose focus is to expose new and exciting works that transcend the standard percussion ensemble. Sunday's concert will feature compositions capturing the spirit and energy of Latin American marimba bands, rhythmic profiles on bongos, and looped continuums on shared instruments. Artists include Andre Dowell, Xavier Verna, and Andres Pichardo-Rosenthal, Assistant Principal Percussion of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Identity Cubed seeks to change the way that percussion music is perceived by performing for audiences who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience the idiosyncrasy of percussion music.

Price: $20 adults, $10 students & reduced income
