I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

When: Sun., Dec. 17, 1-5 p.m. and Mon., Dec. 18, 7-10 p.m.

Prime Stage Theatre seeks several actors to play a variety of roles in the regional premiere of the stage adaptation of Dr. Maya Angelou’s classic biography "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.” Needed are African-American men and women between the ages of 20 and 50, and an African-American female age 15 to 18. Actors are asked to bring a resume and headshot. All auditioners will read scenes from the play. In addition, auditioners are asked to prepare an acapella song (preferably gospel, jazz, blues, or R&B). More info at primestage.com.
