Hands-On Workshop: Appalachian Flavors with Miriam

Miriam Rubin, food columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, will share traditional Appalachian recipes to celebrate the summer harvest. Learn to make Rubin’s recipe for tomato gravy and master a buttermilk cucumber salad from Ronny Lundy’s Victuals. Rubin is author of Tomatoes: a Savor the South Cookbook. Join us for HOW, a series of hands-on workshops for adults and teens. Learn from skilled craftspeople. Dig in and try things out in a creative, supportive environment. Join us for one or all of these free programs. Materials provided. Seating is available to 20 participants on first-come, first serve basis.
