When: Sun., April 2, 2-4 p.m. 2017
Carnegie Museum of Art and Girls Write Pittsburgh welcome girls ages 13–18 for a free writing workshop inspired by works of art at CMOA. The event is free, but you must register to participate. CMOA staff and docents lead participants on explorations of the museum’s Teenie Harris Archive, the otherworldly garments in Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion, and its world-class paintings collection. Then, using the discoveries they’ve made in the galleries as inspiration, participants share ideas and craft poetry, prose, or short stories in creative writing workshops led by Girls Write Pittsburgh.
