Garden Railroad: Next Stop, Memory Lane

When: Oct. 15-March 5, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. 2017

This fall, a trip to Phipps is a trip through some of Pittsburgh’s greatest moments in history. In celebration of Pittsburgh’s bicentennial, the miniature train in the popular Garden Railroad display chugs through 200 years of Pittsburgh inventions, firsts and claims to fame – from the opening of the H.J. Heinz Factory in 1869 to the relaunching of the Point State Park fountain in 2013. In the surrounding rooms, the Fall Flower Show celebrates iconic harvest traditions with the colors and activities of fall.

Price: Regular admission: $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, $11 for kids 2-18, and free for kids under 2
