Extraordinary Embodiment: Writing Disability and Chronic Illness

Join Creative Nonfiction (5119 Coral Avenue) for Extraordinary Embodiment: Writing Disability and Chronic Illness, a one-day workshop led by Sonya Huber, author of Pain Woman Takes Your Keys: Essays from a Nervous System. Students will address clichés for writing about the body, chronic illness, and disability and learn how to write into and against those expectations. You’ll leave this workshop with strategies for incorporating technical research into your writing; fresh material; and feedback on your work.
