Diary of a Madman-Poe's Last Night

Two actors will perform solo horror shows at the New Hazlett Theater in October: Jon Hayden will perform as Poprishchin in “Diary of a Madman,” the classic short story by Nikolai Gogol; David Crawford wrote and stars in “Poe’s Last Night,” a chilling tale about Edgar Allan Poe’s dying hours on the streets of Baltimore. The evening will be an in-depth look at the first documented case of schizophrenia (Diary of a Madman) and the dark and inventive poetry/storytelling of Edgar Allan Poe, one of America’s most gifted and intriguing authors. Runs 125 minutes with a 15 min Intermission.
