Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the Detroit riots. New Horizon Theater looks back with a production of Detroit ’67, a 2013 drama by acclaimed young playwright Dominique Morisseau (Sunset Baby). Siblings fight over their family’s after-hours bar and more in this play set against the backdrop of the riots, and tracked to the music of Motown. Herb Newsome directs this Pittsburgh premiere, staged at Pitt’s Falk School. - Bill O’Driscoll
