The modus operandi of Attack Theatre co-directors (and husband/wife team) Michele de la Reza and Peter Kope is collaboration with artists of varied disciplines to create site-specific, dance-based performances that exude passion, physicality and humor. Attack's production of "The Fitting Room" (January, 2005) melds dance with original live music and video to examine issues of identity through fashion and pose the question: dressed up or dressed down, what is the substance behind the style?
For this issue, CP asked Michele and Peter to improvise situations based on clothing selected from local retailers and shot the results on location in Attack's new rehearsal/performance space in the Penn Avenue Arts District in Garfield.
