Born This Way

When: Thu., May 25, 7-9 p.m. 2017

Join us for a screening of Born This Way (Cameroon) hosted by award-winning writer and activist Unoma Azuah (Nigeria), who will present her talk entitled Visual Activism for African LGBT activists: A look at the documentary Born This Way after the screening. There are more arrests for homosexuality in Cameroon than any other country in the world. With intimate access to the lives of four young gay Cameroonians, Born This Way steps outside the genre of activist filmmaking and offers a vivid and poetic portrait of day-to-day life in modern Africa.
