    Re: “Vicious Cycle
I read poropawhatever's comment once, then again after I adjusted my glasses. Did I read it correctly? Most motor vehicle drivers forget that while on the road, they MUST abide by the same laws as cyclists. This is rarely ever complied with. They must come to a full stop at a stop sign or traffic light, signal turns, stay in lane and maintain safe speeds. I have seen motor vehicles go through stop signs and lights, whip around corners without even slowing down, zig zag through traffic and even exceed posted speed limits. I have seen them drive well below speed limits while riding in the middle of a lane. I have seen them riding in the bike lane even though a motor vehicle lane is six feet to their left. It's a two way street. Literally. If they expect the respect of a cyclist then they should abide by the same rules, as is the law. Just because they have four wheels and an engine does not allow them to break the law. It is unfortunate that some motorists feel that they are still 12 years old and in a toy. When on the roads you are obligated to follow adult rules and suffer adult consequences. The comment by poropa... runs parallel with the belief that women who go out alone at night deserve to be raped. Dangerous logic indeed.
