Ampline makes music that sounds like an “everything but the kitchen sink” potion. From ethereal moments of folky energy to rocking passages and punky attitudes, Ampline brews up a concoction that isn’t quite like anything else you’ve ever consumed, in a refreshing way. This enticing melange shouldn’t be surprising coming from Ampline’s Mike Montgomery, given his work with Kelley Deal on their haunting, indescribable joint project R. Ring.
