I went to see Lauryn last night in St.Petersburg,FL as an early birthday present. I totally agree with Keyona Dawson,thank you for that. She definitely had no interaction with the crowd and was extremely cold someone yelled "We love you Lauryn" her response was a little giggle (under her breath). I love Lauryns' music and felt extremly disappointed. It felt fake and to "glammed up" for me. She did a great rendition of Nina Simones'"Feeling Good" that was the best song she performed. I understand that her style has changed but would have loved to see her mix it up a bit more (slow down the music tempo to the orginal one without that jazz/pop feel. I was hoping to see and hear a bit more of her real music being "L Boogie" or "Lauryn with the guitar." She didn'the even sing "Piece of Mind" which I guess was a good thing, I probably would not have been able to follow along with the song anyway. As one of my birthday gifts this was a waste of time and money. I truely wish I could of gotten a refund. I could have watched the taped performance of this. I hope she changes her performance before going to Miami,FL which I am sure she will. Love Lauryns' music but that performance was not what I expected at all.
