I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and "grew up" to become an Elementary Art Teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools until I was diabled by the mysterious and debilitating disease known as Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2001. For the last ten years I have been trying to get my life back . . . both personally and professionally. I have two daughters who are graduates of the Pittsburgh Public Schools and both have teaching degrees. I have been married to the same wonderful man for thirty-seven years. He is a former PA State Policeman. In 2007, something miraculous happened to me while I was in the throes of yet another attack of the Fibro Fog. I was determined to prove to myself that I still had a mind and I began to write. Four years later, I have now self published that novel and I am watching it slowly move up the charts on Amazon.com. For most of my life I dreamed of writing a novel about an immigrant girl but I could never put a face on her until 2007 when a friendship with the adult child of a Nazi prompted me to write the story. I am currently also working with a group of self published authors who have banned together to explore other means of publication than the traditional ones. My book will be published by them in the next few months. The group is called the Fantasy Island Book Publishing. I stumbled upon this site while exploring Facebook . . .also something new to me. I am sixty-four years old and now everyday I spend my day with my passion, writing. I was hoping that maybe your site would issue a press release for my novel which is centered in Pittsburgh, Berlin and South Vietnam. I have never done anything like this before and this would be my very first press release. I would appreciate your visiting my website at http://www.clugallagher.com/ for more information about me and my work. I am currently living in Trafford but my heart will always be in Pittsburgh.
