    Re: “Sick Transit
Nonexisting funds were included in a budget that doomed it to failure. How can speculated funds now be referred to as a "short fall" if they were never available? Seems that chickens were counted before the (fertile) eggs were laid. We all known (maybe not) that a budget is based on an educated projection of incoming funds, not grandiose anticipations.
Just a thought, why not convert the seldom used HOV lanes into toll roads?

How many overpaid top management positions are going to be eliminated? The effects of the scheduled cuts will be devastating to many people and don't forget the ripple effect. Is this a ploy by Port Authority in an effort to induce public outrage for the purpose of another attempt to have Interstate 80 converted into a toll road? Maybe the time has come for Port Authority to be sold and owned by a private owner(s).

Coghill has been vindicated but with a Pyrrhic Victory. The problem is the base of power of the Democratic Party in the 19th.Ward. The Chairman and other members of the Committee had to have known were Cagni lived but turned a blind eye.
The 19th Ward Chairman should be standing tall in front of the state Democratic Party with an explanation. Additionally all prior Election Petitions submitted by Cagni should be reviewed for a false oath/lie. Were are the Cagni supporters now, crying in their beer at the Huddle (a local tavern owned by a wagner)?

    Sentence One - Agreed
    Sentence Two - Agreed
Sentence Three - How does he (County Chairperson) unilaterally make a determination that a proposed by-law or a revision would never be passed by the County Committee as a whole? Shouldn't a proposed by-law change or a new by-law of what ever type be presented by the By-Laws Committee to the County Committee for their rejection or approval upon a properly called meeting and vote? What I am reading is that the County Chairperson has complete control of what ever committee he convenes and controls what is and what is not disseminated to the County Committee as a whole.

It is possible --- he has the sole and exclusive authority to get it done.

Wouldn't it be a swift hard kick in the pantaloons if the Coghill/Wagner(s) feud was nothing more than mirrors and a smokescreen with all of them meeting secretly under a full moon at midnight to meticiously plan a coupe da gras on Cagni for the purpose of having her removed from the Democratic Committee with the ultimate intent of forming a new and improved power base.

No doubt ---- he does have sole and exclusive authority to make it happen.
