The highlight of the spring art season is the 19th annual Art All Night. At this Lawrenceville event, held from 4 p.m. Sat., April 23, through 2 p.m. Sun., April 24, anybody can display their artwork, and plenty do. Frankly, it can be overwhelming for visitors.

To help you focus, City Paper designed four bingo cards just for Art All Night. In the squares are art forms and subjects to look for: string art and things made with branches; photos of the Pittsburgh skyline and sunsets; portraits of dogs and babies; plus the ever-popular zombies, Steelers and wizards.

Download and print one or all four. To win, complete any row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). Tweet a photo of your winning card in front of winning art (the one that completed your B-I-N-G-O) to @PGHCityPaper using the hashtag #CPArtBingo, and be eligible for a City Paper prize pack, which will include CP T-shirts and two tickets to three upcoming Stage AE shows — Say Anything on May 11; The Avett Brothers on May 12 and Ellie Goulding on May 13.

True lovers of art in all forms will want to play blackout (finding all the squares). And why not? You’ve got all night.

The four museums celebrate their collective 120th birthday by going head-to-head in an online battle called “Clash of the Carnegies.”

The Carnegie Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Carnegie Science Center and The Andy Warhol Museum have each selected six artifacts, artworks or museum experiences to face off in a public online vote to begin Monday at www.carnegieclash.org.

The museum won't announce all the objects until Monday, but it has offered a sneak peak. Two of the natural-history museums offerings are Dippy the dinosaur and the 1867 diorama "Arab Courier Attacked by Lions." The CMOA has Teenie Harris' circa-1945 photo "Little Boy Boxer" and Van Gogh's "Wheat Fields after the Rain." The Science Center proffers its interactive robot Andy Roid and its Miniature Railroad & Village. And, the Warhol's putting up Warhol images "Cat" (from a 1954 book) and 1964's "Flowers."

There will be two rounds of voting, and the final four favorites — one from each museum — will then compete for “ultimate bragging rights.”

The winning object will be announced during the 120th-birthday celebration at the museums of art and natural history on Nov. 14. One guest will also win a prize package including a free one-year membership to the four museums.

The Carnegie Museums of art and natural history were founded in 1895 by industrialist Andrew Carnegie, who in his later years was known for his philanthropy. (The Science Center dates to 1939 and the Warhol opened in 1994.) Each year, the museums reach more than 1.3 million people and bring more than 150 special exhibitions, films, theater shows and live performances to the region.

The 120th birthday party is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 14, at the Carnegie Museums of art and natural history, 4400 Forbes Ave., in Oakland. Click here for more info.

Film Kitchen, the long-running monthly screening series, seeks short films for its annual contest.

This year’s theme is “kitsch.” Here’s an amusing video explaining more.

Films of four minutes or less, in any genre (narrative, documentary, animation, experimental) can be originated in any film or video format but must be submitted in a Quicktime Apple ProRes file.

Submissions can be mailed or dropped off at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, 477 Melwood Ave., Oakland.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Tue., May 26.

Finalists will be selected for a screening at Pittsburgh Filmmakers’ Harris Theater, Downtown, on June 9, during the Three Rivers Film Festival. Films will compete for cash prizes.

For more information, email Matthew R. Day at [email protected].

For the first time ever, City Paper set out to produce four different covers for one weekly issue. We came up with the concept to recreate four iconic album covers and enlisted the help of four great photographers and 10 fantastic kids to make it happen. And after a little help from the Rock Gods — and a Michael Jackson wig and a couple trips to the thrift store — we managed to make our annual music issue one for the record books!

Collect all four of our Music Issue covers and win one of two concert prize packs! Two ways to win: Tweet a selfie of you holding all four covers to @PGHCityPaper using the hashtag #CPMusicIssue, or post that selfie of you on Facebook and tag Pittsburgh City Paper with the hashtag #CPMusicIssue. (There will be one winner per platform and just one prize pack per household). The prize pack includes a restaurant gift card and concert tickets for a great night out.
