A video shared online Friday afternoon by individuals and groups like Bike PGH, shows a cyclist being attacked by the driver of an SUV.

The motorist can be seen throwing the cyclist to the ground and then later picking up the bike and throwing that at the cyclist as well. The incident was recorded by another motorist who captured the motorist's license plate number, HYM 6986.

Alicia George, spokesperson for the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety told CP when asked about the incident: "I am aware of the video but at this time, there is no police report to verify the incident or confirm if/when it happened."

In its post, Bike PGH wrote: "Let’s be clear. This is criminal. This is assault. We urge the City and police to track down the driver and treat it as such. We cannot tolerate this kind of behavior. #SafeFifthForbesNOW."
