Throughout the history of professional wrestling, what a performer can do on the mic is often just as important as what they do in the ring. Each afternoon, Smark Attack will highlight a wrestling promo that shows off the best, and sometimes the worst, in pro wrestling microphone work.

Today’s promo comes courtesy of Kenny Omega, a superstar known for his work with New Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s a superstar in the ring, one of the most dynamic wrestlers in style and delivery. Omega is very much a “future of the industry” personality, and it’s not just because he’s great in the ring.

He’s also a killer on the mic. There are a million promos to pick from (and there will be more Omega promos on this blog, certainly), but this one is a particular favorite of mine. It showcases his villainous spirit and smart ass sense of humor and positions himself as the leader of the Bullet Club.
