The author of both the novel
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and the screenplay for its forthcoming film adaptation visits the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh this Sunday.
Jesse Andrews, a Pittsburgh native, will be here as part of Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures' Writers LIVE series.
Me and Earl, the Schenley High grad's debut novel, was published in 2012 and became a best-seller and award-winner. The film version won both the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. It opens in theaters nationally on June 26.
Andrews, who graduated from Harvard, now lives in Boston.
He'll be in the International Poetry Room of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's main branch, in Oakland, at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The library is located at 4400 Forbes Ave., in Oakland. The event is free.
