Literary reading at SPACE on Sunday

Posted By on Fri, Jan 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM

A top local poet and an accomplished playwright read from their work at Behind Our Scenes, a photography exhibit by local artists.

The afternoon reception at the Downtown gallery includes a reading by Joy Katz, a widely published poet who teaches at Chatham University; her latest collection is All You Do Is Perceive. (Here's CP’s review.) Also reading is Rob Handel, who heads the dramatic writing MFA program at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Drama, is a resident playwright at New Dramatists and a resident opera librettist at American Lyric Theater.

Behind Our Scenes features photography and video by Nancy Andrews, Leo Hsu, Dennis Marsico, Annie O’Neill and Barbara Weissberger.

The reception and reading run 3-5 p.m. this Sunday.

Behind Our Scenes, curated by Jen Saffron, is up until Jan. 26.

SPACE is located at 812 Liberty Ave.
