Pitt students can collect a free “Son of Baconator” sandwich, at the Petersen Events Center, tonight from 6:30-11:30 p.m., during Wendy’s Ultimate Baconator Challenge.
This “offspring” of the Baconator features two beef patties, four strips of bacon, American cheese and other toppings on a buttered bun, and is marginally better for you than Dad. (A Baconator has 970 calories and is 63 percent of your daily recommended fat intake; the Son is only 700 calories and 43 percent of your daily recommended fat intake.)
So if you’re a Pitt student — and unconcerned with your arterial health — head up the hill. There will be bacon-themed challenges, assorted merchandise and probably a huge line. For more information about arteries and food choices, stop by UPMC Hospital across the street, where there’s likely a pamphlet on the topic.
