City Paper’s Amyjo Brown is covering Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan’s campaign stop in Carnegie via twitter — @cpamyjo — for those that would like to follow the shenanigans. Ryan is scheduled to appear shortly.

Here are some highlights so far:

— “Country music is playing in background as Romney-Ryan supporters file in. Bleachers full. Standing room only.”

— “Many protesters say "war on women" is what drew them out. #ryanpgh”

— "I'm out here fighting for my family," Josette Jordan, 50 of Glen Hazel, protesting at Ryan Rally”

— “Brief scruffle b/t Romney supporters & protestors. Protestors trying to block Romney signs”

— “Narrow street: semi-trucks wrestling with stream of cars going to rally. Biz owner yelling about cameras on private property”

— Ryan: "Let's use the energy in this country. Coal, oil, gas .. all of the above. Create jobs here, use our own energy."

— Ryan: "We cannot continue to go on this path of spending money we don't have." We have to get the debt under control today."

— "Ryan: "I'm a Catholic deer hunter." HUGE applause."

— Ryan: "We will get rid of Obamacare."
