A new poll shows President Obama holding onto a 6-point lead against challenger Mitt Romney, despite a majority of voters disapproving of Obama's handling of the economy. The poll was carried out between Aug. 7 and 12, so the addition of wild-man Paul Ryan to the GOP ticket probably had little impact.

Of course, that lead may not do much good if Obama's supporters can't vote in November ...
