What's up weekend

Hey bloggies. Time to talk about what's going on this weekend. This one's loaded, so pay attention.

Tonight (Friday), the Three Rivers Arts Festival brings us a doozie with Justin Townes Earle opening for Kris Kristofferson. Then if you choose to move on to the bars, there's local faves Mariage Blanc and Delicious Pastries (in a stripped-down two-man incarnation) playing with The Carribean at Brillobox, or the CD release show for Small Cities at Thunderbird Cafe (City Dwelling Nature Seekers open), OR The Sexy Accident, Thee Shopkeepers, Karl Hendricks Trio, and The Kyle Sowashes at the 31st Street Pub. OR, or, or, you could go see Riparian, E.L. Rad, and Gangwish at Gooski's. I seriously wouldn't make fun of you if you went to ANY of these shows. They all meet my approval.

Then there's tomorrow. That's Saturday. There's seriously more. Early evening has several local bands (Assembly, Boca Chica, The Harlan Twins, Lohio) at the Arts Festival. There's also the summer party at AIR, Spits, NoBunny and Centipede Eest at the 31st St. Pub for the garage set, and the Rock the Streets benefit show, featuring Big Hurry, School of Athens and more, at Shadow Lounge.

Also, for those of you into Woodstock, the folks from KardaZ are doing a Woodstock tribute show on Saturday night at PD's Pub in Squirrel Hill, leading up to the big Woodstock-themed show (with real live people who played at Woodstock) at the Trib Total Battleship Growing Circulation Amphitheatre at Station Square on Sunday evening.

Is that enough for you? IS THAT ENOUGH FOR YOU?
