As a white woman , i grew up in Perry North of the N. Side. I left N. Side for 20 years then moved to Manchester and stayed for 2 years. Several of my neighbors whom were in the late 50's and mid 60's would refer to me as a whitie or a honky. I didn't let it bother me, it told the rude people, i go where i want to go and do what i want to do, when they pay my rent, clean my apartment, purchase my food, then they can tell me where i should live and what i can and cannot do.!

Unfortunately, there are some homes and a high rise on the 1000 block of Sheffield Street that need demolished and weeded out from drug deals.
