Presidential Debate Bingo Cards
You may be among the millions poised to watch Mitt Romney "really turn the campaign around" tomorrow night during the first presidential debate with Barack Obama. (9 p.m. on just about every TV channel.)
But baring that great moment in entertainment and politcal history, download these bingo cards to make the debate a nail-biter of cliches, buzzwords and awkward zingers. There are six different cards; play one, play them all, challenge your friends.
TO PLAY: Every time a candidate — not the moderator — says the word in quotes listed on your card, cross off that square. Likewise if a candidate makes a reference to a category in capital letters (e.g. says “Navy” for ANY MILITARY BRANCH). The middle square is a freebie. Mark off any five squares in a row — vertical, horizontal or diagonal — and that’s a winning bingo. Alternatively, the player with the most crossed-off squares at the end of the debate wins.
Bingo turns any debate into a thrilling evening — "I need 'fiscal cliff' for the win" — but it’s also educational! Playing bingo forces you to listen to every word the candidates say, so you don't miss any pandering (hey there, Ohio!), fuzzy math or bungled jokes.
